With the start of the school year upon us, we are excited to announce that the Central National Gottesman Foundation has awarded three 2021-2022 scholarships to outstanding students pursuing their studies at institutions of higher education. The Foundation also renewed the grants previously awarded to Julia Bridges, Dylan Lomas, Jewel Jurisprudencia, Raul Rodriguez, Steven Sanborn and Amy Whittaker. These scholarships support an important belief of our parent company, Central National Gottesman (CNG): that success is rooted in the power of education. All of the scholarship recipients are bright sons and daughters of individuals from the Kelly Spicers workforce. Help us celebrate these high achieving individuals by getting to know the three new recipients a little better!
Brooke Larisch is from Riverton, Utah and is attending Utah Valley University to study Dental Hygiene. After taking a dental assisting course in high school and interacting with patients out of a local dental office, she realized her passion for the dental field and helping people feel confident with themselves. The CNG Scholarship allows Brooke to take the classes she needs to apply to Dental Hygiene programs this winter. Her dream job is to become a dental hygienist and travel abroad to help less-fortunate people with their oral hygiene. Brooke loves spending time outdoors in the sun or doing nails when she isn’t at school or studying. Congratulations, Brooke!
Cyan Granillo is from South Gate, CA, and is studying Health Science with an emphasis on Community Health at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Inspiring and helping others to change their health as an Occupational Therapist is Cyan’s dream job, and she plans to apply to USC’s Division of Occupational Therapy Master’s program after graduating with her bachelor’s degree. The CNG Scholarship offers Cyan more stability to focus on her academic goals while working towards her dream career. In high school, Cyan was an avid member of the cross country, soccer, and track teams- not to mention a robotics team! When she isn’t studying, you can find Cyan cooking new recipes for her family, reading fiction novels, or giving her younger sister piano lessons. Congratulations, Cyan! Well deserved.
